Improving Access to General Practice

We are participating in a national incentive to offer evening and weekend appointments to make it easier for you to see a doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional at a time more convenient to you between 6.30pm – 8pm Monday to Friday and at the weekend. The aim of the scheme is to help people who may find it difficult to see a healthcare professional during the traditional surgery opening hours. Appointments Monday to Thursday 6:30pm to 8pm will be with one of the regular Narrowcliff doctors.

If you require a routine GP appointment from 6:30pm on a Friday evening or on a Saturday or Sunday, we are working in partnership with LIVI.

Patients can download the LIVI app onto their device, and have a video consultation with a NHS registered GP who, with your consent,  will have access to your medical record, and will be able to prescribe and refer. The GP will not be able to prescribe controlled drugs.

What is the LIVI app?

Once patients have downloaded the app and completed a brief identity check they will be able to book a video consultation. Patients can book, change or cancel an appointment within the app

To access the service, simply download LIVI from the App store
(iphone) or Google Play (Android), and sign up.

What happens after the consultation?

If you require a prescription, this will be sent to the pharmacy you requested in the appointment. Once the prescription has arrived at the pharmacy, you will receive a confirmation through the app.

Who can use LIVI?

Any existing patients who are over 16 and currently registered with the practice. Parents and guardians can book appointments for children age2-16 years old.

What happens if the patient has a question?
